Named after the 3313-meter-high hill and a viewpoint, 'Mohare Danda', this easy 5-day trek provides an excellent view of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Massif and the authentic cultural experience of the Pun Magar communities. For the first 3 days, you will walk the quiet trails through beautiful villages like Banskharka and Nangi, where you will spend the night in lodges run by the local community. After spending a night in Mohare Danda, you will get back on the main trail of the GhorepaniPoon Hill Trek. Then the trail descends to Ulleri and down to Hile, where the trek ends.

The trek passes through orange farms, mixed forests of oak and rhododendrons, terraced farmlands, and vibrant villages of Pun Magar. One of the best parts of this trek is Mohare Danda (3313 M), from where you can have a majestic panorama of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Range. And the sunset and the sunrise views, truly mesmerizing. If you are trekking during springtime, the trails will be adorned with vivid rhododendron forests and stunning mountain views.

Mohare Danda Trek Itinerary

Our Mohare Danda Trek Itinerary is 7 days, including 5 days of walking. The trek starts from Galeshwor, a 3-4 hour drive from Pokhara. The trek ends at Hile, and then it is a 2-3 hour ride to Pokhara. It is a short and easy trek suitable for family groups or those who are short of time. If you would like to make it more adventurous, add the Khopra Ridge or the Annapurna Base Camp. Just leave us a message, and our experts will help you craft a perfect itinerary that ensures a top-notch experience with safety.

Mohare Danda Trek Cost

The Mohare Danda Trek Cost depends on various factors such as the types of vehicle transfers, inclusion or exclusions of meals and accommodations, inclusions or exclusions of hotels in Pokhara and Kathmandu, and their types, duration of the trek, size of the group, use of porters, etc. Just let us know your preferences, and we will provide you with the best option.

Mohare Danda Trek Difficulty

The Mohare Danda Trek is easy and, to some extent, a moderate trek, depending on your fitness level and trekking experience. The average walking hours per day in this 5-day trek are around 4 and a half hours. The trail features stone stairs, ups and downs, forest trails with roots, and natural paths. A healthy person with minimal trekking or hiking experience can easily complete this trek. It is an ideal trek for beginners, family groups, and senior age groups.

However, even on an easy trek in Nepal, the trails always consist of uphill and downhill with stone steps or stairs. Therefore, prior preparation can be of great help. The best way to prepare is to walk as much as possible. Using stairmasters can help greatly.
